Over the past ten years, I have constantly been on my own “brain journey”.
Fascinated about how the brain functions, learns and reacts I have been exploring with my own blogs and vlogs, testing and trying and challenging my brain.
This is a compilation of all the blogs I have written through these past ten years about different aspects of the brain and my own reflections, in the hope that these blogs may help others to discover and comprehend themselves and in this way assists others to discover and understand themselves too. “I started teaching English as a Foreign Language to adults over 30 years ago. After obtaining a BA Honours in Law and Spanish (with distinction in spoken Spanish) at the University of Sheffield (UK), I went on to do a Masters in Human Rights and Democratization (EMA) at the University of Padua, Italy and Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany.
I continued my studies and qualified as a UK Lawyer in 2003, but instead of pursuing a career as a lawyer, I decided to combine my teaching experience, my specialisation in business English and my legal knowledge to coach top executives across Europe.
The creation of this concept called Neurolanguage Coaching emerged through my own experience of teaching languages over the past 34 years. This combined with my own experience of learning languages, namely French, Spanish, Italian, German, and some Catalan, with basics of Arabic and Russian and a hunger to learn more, such as Chinese.
In 2019, I qualified as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) , a qualification awarded by the International Coaching Federation.
In March 2020, I completed my Masters in Applied Neuroscience and continue to study Neuroscience to develop and enhance my knowledge.
In addition, my own personal development as a life coach over the 9 years and my burning interest in what we are now discovering through modern neuroscience about the brain – and how the brain functions, reacts and learns – have all contributed to the creation of this concept and method.
Using this method, I have trained over 700 language teachers worldwide, certifying them as Neurolanguage Coaches – certified by taking our training courses which are some of the only language coaching certification courses in the world accredited by International Coach Federation USA.
I now deliver this course to teachers of all disciplines with a vision to transform and enhance the learning process.
The most fascinating driver for me has been seeing and experiencing better learning results from my own clients. Now, also the testimonials of many of the language teachers who have certified with me and become Neurolanguage coaches, are, in turn, witnessing better results from their clients.
What is Neurolanguage Coaching®?

Neurolanguage Coaching® introduces an understanding of the theory and principles behind 🧠🧠 brain-based coaching and how neuroscientific research can assist in understanding and formulating powerful coaching conversations.
One of the reasons that Rachel created the method and approach was to bring a “crystallised definition and structure” to the general term of language coaching, but with the added extra of neuroscience and how the brain functions, learns and reacts. Rachel personally began with this quest 18 years ago, when she was first introduced to the concept of language coaching in Germany.
Neurolanguage Coaching® is focused on and ever related to the learning, improvement or enhancement of a language that is being learnt, practised or utilised by the coachee. It encompasses all that we have said relating to the world of coaching: coaching models, tools, structure, practices, philosophies and in addition the ethics and standards of the International Coach Federation.
When completing the full Neurolanguage Coaching certification courses, Neurolanguage Coaches are trained in the practical application of neuroscientific principles, relating to how the brain learns, functions and reacts, in particular in relation to emotional triggers when learning a language, drawing Krashen´s affective filter into the scientific evidence arena.
Pure language coaching does NOT normally draw upon the neuroscience and how the brain functions and learns.
